Andrew Bott wins Apprentice of the Year 2009

For the third time in four years one of our apprentices was awarded the top prize by Birmingham Electrical Training. Andrew faced a grilling by representatives of the Training company and the ECA to clinch the title. The interview covers the following headings:-

  • Communication Skills

  • Initiative

  • Ambition

  • Technical Knowledge

  • Keys Skills Gained

  • Presentation

  • Reports from Employers and College

The prizes this year were awarded by Phil Upton of Radio WM. In addition to the trophy Andrew received a cheque for £150, a voucher for a 17th edition course and a Megger MFT tester, donated by Megger, worth £700.

It also means that C A Sothers regain The Burnett Shield for a further year.
