HAZARDOUS
AREA TRAINING
As
we carry out the installation and maintenance
of electrical services in
hazardous areas a number of our engineers recently
completed a residential
course at the Prospects Business Training College.
To assist us with compliance to the Dangerous
Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations
(DSEAR), also known as ATEX these engineers
have successfully obtained the Comp'Ex' National
Certificate of Core
Competence. Comp'Ex' stands for competence in
explosive atmospheres.
It is the national training and certification
scheme for electrical and instrument personnel
and is designed for those requiring a certificate
of competence for
the selection and use of electrical apparatus
in potentially explosive
atmospheres (hazardous areas).
